Muscle

Eu caru neu eu casáu, mae dynion ym mhobman.

Mae Muscle yn ddarn theatrig cyfoethog, emosiynol a hynod gyffrous sy’n cyfuno dawns, cerddoriaeth, ffilm a gwaith animeiddio, ac a ysbrydolwyd gan gyfres o gyfweliadau diddorol â dynion. Dynion yn unig sydd yn y cast eclectig yma, ac er eu bod i gyd yn hanu o Mars, maent hefyd yn portreadu cymeriadau o Fenws.

Dyma Shock n Awe yn dychwelyd adref i Gaerdydd i gyflwyno’r fersiwn newydd yma o’u cynhyrchiad arloesol. Yn gynharach eleni bu iddynt ennill Gwobr ‘Herald Angel’ Banc Brenhinol yr Alban yng Ngŵyl Ymylol Caeredin 2011.

"Each story is refreshingly cliché-free and all are exceptionally well performed by a multi-talented ensemble, who are equally adept at the more physical elements of the piece or delivering an emotive monologue. Together the separate stories are woven together to create a surprising, entertaining and authentic portrayal of what it is to be a man." The Stage

"The comedy is rich and genuinely funny, the stories are poignant without being steeped in needless caricature, sentimentality and political correctness. Men can be funny, they can be in amusing situations, they can even be the butt of the comedy – but they don’t all have to be Mr Bean." Buzz Magazine

"So – five men onstage, giving voice to the issues that preoccupy many perplexed sons and fathers, brothers and lovers, using their bodies in feisty choreographies when words need added sweat and sinew. And showing, in the process, the integrity it takes to move an audience to spontaneous tears and laughter." The Herald
